KITTYKIND INCNEW YORK, New York
KittyKind is a nonprofit, no-kill, cat adoption group that relies on passionate volunteers, a strong foster network, and the contributions of the community in order to find forever homes for over 500 cats each year. Our mission is to help end feline homelessness and needless euthanasia in New York City through the advocacy of adoption and spay/neuter. In addition to operating a cat adoption center in Petco, Union Square, and an exclusive relationship with the Meow Parlour (New York City’s first cat café) to whom we supply adoptable cats, the KittyKind team answers countless public inquiries each day, promoting TNR (trap-neuter-release) efforts, helping the community place homeless and abandoned cats in partnering no-kill rescues, and providing advice and resources that enable people to keep their cats in their homes when at risk of surrendering them.
KittyKind cats come from owners who can no longer keep them, good Samaritans, and rescuers. We have a special dedication to the intake of the most vulnerable homeless cats, those considered difficult to adopt at other animal welfare organizations, such as senior cats and cats with special needs. KittyKind offers a lifetime commitment to all of its cats and is always available to its adopters for questions and advice.
